Built for the firms building what's next
Meridian Advisory Group helps independent and PE-backed insurance brokerages build high-performing service teams — combining institutional-grade expertise with hands-on execution at every stage of growth.
Most insurance brokerages don't have a service team problem. They have a scaling problem that shows up as one.— Medini De Silva, CIC, CISR · Founder
Institutional capability. Independent scale.
The world's largest brokerage platforms spent decades building the talent development systems, operational frameworks, and integration playbooks that let them grow without breaking. Independent and PE-backed brokerages have never had access to that infrastructure — until now.
Meridian was built to close that gap. We bring enterprise-grade capability to firms of every size, combining strategic advisory with the hands-on execution that turns strategy into results your clients and your team can feel.
- —We don't hand you a playbook and walk away. We work alongside your team to implement solutions that stick.
- —Our expertise is rooted exclusively in insurance brokerage operations — not generalist consulting applied to insurance.
- —We serve brokerages from 15 to 1,000 employees navigating the real operational pressures of growth.
- —Nationwide delivery through both remote and on-site engagement models, headquartered in Southern California.
We understand the pressures you're facing
We work with independent and PE-backed brokerages at every stage of growth — from firms building their first scalable service structure to established operations navigating post-acquisition complexity.
Our clients are brokerages that recognize their growth potential is being limited not by lack of ambition, but by the operational infrastructure needed to support it.
- →Service team turnover and burnout eroding client relationships and institutional knowledge
- →Inconsistent workflows across offices or newly acquired books of business
- →Workforce development and licensing gaps creating capacity constraints
- →Post-acquisition disruption threatening client retention and team stability
- →Scaling faster than your operational infrastructure can support
Three areas. One unified approach.
Emerging Talent Strategy
Build a reliable pipeline of licensed professionals. We design and implement talent development programs that move candidates from onboarding to full productivity — creating the bench depth your operation depends on for sustainable growth.
M&A Integration
Acquisitions create opportunity — and risk. We protect client relationships, retain key service staff, and align operational standards in the critical window after acquisition, using a proven integration framework built from enterprise-level M&A experience.
Operational Efficiency & Retention
Reactive service teams lose clients. We transform service operations from firefighting mode into proactive, high-performing units — optimizing workflows, reducing friction, and building the retention culture that drives long-term brokerage value.

Medini De Silva
Founder & Chief Executive Officer · Meridian Advisory Group
“I didn't build Meridian because I saw a market opportunity. I built it because I watched talented brokerage leaders struggle with the same solvable problems for decades — and I couldn't walk away from that.”
Medini De Silva brings 25+ years of enterprise-level experience building and leading service operations at the world's leading global brokerage platforms — the kind of experience that doesn't come from consulting on the outside, but from doing the work at scale from within.
Her career spans the full spectrum: enterprise platforms, regional firms, and independent and PE-backed brokerages. At each stage, she focused on one question: how do you build a service team that protects and grows the book — without depending on any single person to hold it together? That question led to Meridian Academy, retention frameworks, and the systems she now brings exclusively to independent and PE-backed brokerages.
That background — spanning large-scale talent development, operational framework design, and M&A integration — is the foundation Meridian is built on. Our clients don't get theory. They get execution grounded in what actually works at scale, now accessible to firms of every size.
Meridian was founded on a single conviction: that independent and PE-backed brokerages deserve access to the same institutional-grade capabilities that the largest platforms have spent decades refining.
